Sabumnim Yong Ji In
[Sa·Bum·Nim] is the Korean term for "master". A SaBumNim is a guide and instructor, through whom your knowledge of martial arts will come. To be a SaBumNim means one has earned the honor to pass on the invaluable lessons and experiences of numerous masters and sages. To be a SaBumNim means always being there for his/her students and striving to help them achieve their absolute best. To be a SaBumNim means not only having years of martial arts training, but also years of martial arts experience. Experience means having to apply one's martial arts training in real life situations, conflicts and altercations. This is what separates a SaBumNim from just any martial arts instructor. It does not matter how many books you've read, how many video tapes you've watched, how many classes you've sat in or how much knowledge you have in your head. If you've never been in the water, you don't know what swimming is. You know you have mastered the ability to swim when you have been thrown overboard in treacherous waters and there's no one to help you. SaBumNim has trained extensively with nine of the worlds most renown, respected and innovative Grandmasters and Masters of the Twentieth Century.
These phenomenal martial artists include: Master Chin Yun Chung, Grandmaster Sang B. Ko, Soke John Davis, Grandmaster Jong Yuk Ki, Grandmaster J. Choi, Grandmaster Billy Davis, Grandmaster Chih-Young Lin, and SaBumNim John Grossman.
